Its been such fun but has kept me thinking about the goals for the session and how to keep horses (and their riders) calm, rerlaxed and focussed.
I had a brilliant time speaking at Stoneleigh RC and presenting my ideas for freestyle choregography. I have run a couple of clinics in Northamptonshire at Castle Ashby and Salcey Forest where the focus was pole work and then later on jumping. Some of the riders were new to working with me and there was a real buzz in the arena as we swapped ideas and exercises. Some of the riders have been working with me for a few months and I was really pleased to be able to see the difference in the horse's canter and the way they approached the related distances.
Back on home ground at Bury Farm I have had fun working with a quarter horse, a warmblood and a spanish horse and seeing the riders find a new level of confidence and harmony with their horses. Not wanting to be left out I have been riding my own horse and enjoying the way he is working.
