Roughway Jack Competes at Addington Last July Jack and I qualified for the elementary regional freestyle championships and last week we went to Addington where we had a fantastic time. We did not place this year but loved every moment in the arena. The atmosphere and Jack's response gave me the confidence to make the step up the levels this season and I am planning a few medium tests before entering an advanced medium and aim to collect enough points to return to the Summer Regional Championships. I am also planning to enter a few Dressage Anywhere competitions to focus my mind on test patterns in training. This year I visited BETA with my work colleagues from Equetech and I enjoyed the show. I am always surprised by how many people I meet at the exhibition and enjoy meeting face to face the people I have regular email converstions with. Welcome to my new online home! The Solitaire horses are settled at Bury Farm and I am pleased to report we have wintered well with the focus on training and enjoying horse time. We went to Addington for Jack's Winter Regional Championship and had a brilliant time. We finished mid table but the most important factor is that we were able to attend and enjoy ourselves and that Jack is still looking great after the party. I wanted a new name for a new blog and choose Style and Performance as it seems to reflect my ambitions and my working life. I continue to teach coach and ride alongside my new role as Marketing and PR Manager for Equetech. |
